Gold Mountain - Nakoma Sale Inches Along
Sale of Nakoma inches along according to a recent article in the Portola Reporter. In response to an inquiry on the progress of the Nakoma sale with the courts, William Shaw, president of WLSI, Inc., buyer of the Nakoma, said, “I am happy to report that it’s going well. It certainly is delayed. We are in a current due diligence period that has been delayed as a result of the court delaying their own due diligence. It’s taking much more time for the court to provide a survey of the property and a legal description. I will be verifying that by walking the property and the survey within the next week. Despite these issues, we are proceeding with the Nakoma sale and plan to open the golf course just as soon as possible, after acquiring ownership.” Mr. Shaw is working with Eric Lloyd Wright, Frank Lloyd Wright’s grandson, in the design of the lodge that will be built alongside the Nakoma building.

Special educational demonstrations, food and beverages available, fishing gear available if you do not have your own. Packer lake is located 3 miles off the Gold Lake Highway. The event begins at 8 am and runs until 2 pm. This annual event is put on by the Sierra County Fish and Game Commission.
